Review of Demolition Man (1993) by Roberto A — 17 Oct 2010
Demolition Man starts out well-enough. Its future-shock concept and hamminess provides a surprising lightness and humor for a picture starring Stallone. The set and special effects echo that humor well.
But where it starts to lose points is when it takes itself too seriously and tries to be an action thriller with a message. These things could've been accomplished well, but they weren't, so our heroes struggle to give meaning to shallow motivations and flimsy plot devices.
