Review of Demolition Man (1993) by Jeffrey M — 12 Feb 2012
Distractingly stupid and profoundly silly, Demolition Man never works as a good B action film. There needs to be some element of believability, some opposing force that is at least half-convincingly nefarious (not an over-the-top Wesley Snipes). Itâ(TM)s funny in parts, with plenty of 90s references and satire, but itâ(TM)s just too corny. I think the biggest problem with it, is that is just hasnâ(TM)t aged well. The CGI, itâ(TM)s ridiculous futuristic style, are all outdated, making it much less effective some 19 year after its release.
2/5 Stars.
