Review of Demolition Man (1993) by Raji K — 27 Feb 2015
John Spartan (Slyvester Stallone) has an effective, but explosive approach to being a cop, and is nicknamed the Demolition Man. Despite apprehending his rival Simon Phoenix (Wesley Snipes), he disregards the safety of hostages and is to be cryogenically frozen.
Nearly 40 years later he is de-thawed and asked to catch his nemesis again in a now crime-less society. Demolition Man is a decent action comedy, that really has some solid one liners, and in many ways parodies the type of film that it is.
The movie follows the blockbuster formula, but does it well enough.
