Review of Demolition (2016) by Matthew Y — 31 Jul 2016
The deconstruction of grief and reflection take centre stage for Gyllenhaal's latest. The concept of the narrative is intriguing with an exploration of acceptance, understanding and catharsis through the eyes of the bereaved.
It's just a shame that after a strong first half, the direction heads towards a more clichéd and derivative finale.
