Jake Gyllenhaal continues to impress me. everything he's been doing recently has been great, and his performance in this is fantastic as well. Naomi Watts also gives a great, nuanced performance as well.

I've heard the mixed things about this one, but I enjoyed it quite a lot. Jean Marc-Vallee is an extremely talented director, and while his two previous films may be better than this one, it's still a good one.

my only big issue with it is that it's narrative structure is flawed and I was confused at times. and the editing is choppy in many scenes. I liked this one more than I thought it would, and it once again showcases Jake Gyllenhaal's incredible talent.
