Review of Demolition (2016) by Camilo D — 09 Sep 2016
I thought 'Demolition' looked like a very solid film and I was glad the trailers didn't give much of the story away. Jake Gyllenhaal is really great in this and I loved his performance here.
The film is shot extremely well in my opinion and the editing is just great (always shocks me that the films that get nominated for best editing Oscars are never films like this and I feel they give the nominations to films that got other nominations).
I liked the story for the most part, but there were parts that I didn't really buy or that took me out of the film though. As much as I really liked this film, I do think it's probably going to be a fairly forgettable film after a few months, but I definitely feel that it worth at least one watch for sure.
