Review of Demolition (2016) by Jenna I — 17 Nov 2016
Cliche-town run amok. The stoic misunderstood man who can't man up enough to deal with his emotions so he has to break shit but in a 'quirky' way. The dead wife who only exists in slowmo bokeh shots and has zero personality. The even flatter replacement woman who smokes pot and has a bizarre 12 year old pyromaniac gay son who adores 70s rock. Are you asleep yet? Because I can keep going.....
All in all, I'm tired of experiencing stories where the only character with any development is the main character. It's not enough, even if it's Jake Gyllenhaal.
