New York police officer Ralph Sarchie (Eric Bana) has a hunch about certain cases. He always seems to get into the worst of luck, but he's a top notch detective. In Deliver Us From Evil Ralph comes across a bizarre crime scene that links to several other murders and disturbances he's been investigating.

He soon finds himself in liege with a priest named Mendoza (Edgar Ramirez) a man who also has some past demons himself. Together they uncover a strange plot involving some soldiers returning from Iraq with an unwanted passenger.

Sound a little ridiculous? It actually ends up coming together decently. While Deliver Us From Evil isn't scary (it does have a few jump up moments) it has a decent plot and a good cast! The film falls short though where it seems like were being moved from one scene to another with not enough of a plot at times to really feel that invested in the characters.

The movie has a good pace though, but it would have been nicer to have less randomness. The first twenty minutes finds out hero at a dumpster, a house, and than a zoo. I am not messing around it just seems like they wanted some random locations to show he's all over the place.

It just gets a bit messy. The film also stars Joel McHale as Butler, Ralphs partner on the force. Olivia Munn is Jen, Ralph's wife (and smoking hot like usual). Overall, for horror fans it's not overly gory, or scary and in all honesty by the end it turns into another exorcism film.

I would say only take a look if your interested!
