Review of Deliver Us from Evil (2014) by Chok S — 19 Sep 2014
An exorcism film with nice concept but can't seem to get pass the typical cliche'. The film has some GORES to serve its devilish content as well as the SCARES from the creepy make-up and jumpy ones.
However, the film has the same old typical trick scares that has been done in other excorcism films and didn't really try something new that's worth remembering or that will really give you nightmare.
Also the script can sometimes be irritating from cliche' action and flaws as well as the music "The Door" that really brings the scare tone of the film down and doesn't seem suitable for the climax scene.
Overall, the film did try something new with the concept but in the end it still falls into a typical cliche' scare that may seem creepy but just forgettable [C+].
