Deliver Us From Evil didn't need to be scary to enjoy it. It has a good story, good characters and gets you really emotionally involved. You care what happens to them. The atmosphere and intensity of the film really keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Though the use if a few jump scares really did damper the experience but not take you away from it.
