Classic bait and switch. The trailers made it seem like a suspenseful, creepy, horror film; when in reality it was more of an investigative cop flick. The first half hour provided a solid foundation, but the story careened off from that point and became a jumbled mess for the most part. The paranormal stuff happening in the family house never got any real resolution or expansion, and there was never any explanation as to how or why these people were possessed. The acting was very average for the most part - not bad, but certainly not noteworthy; and, the pacing was very erratic. Would not at all classify this as a horror flick, and certainly not recommended for horror-genre enthusiasts.

Grade = 4/10.
