This was nominated for Best Documentary at the last Academy Awards, and it definatly deserved the nomination. The documentary follows a Catholic priest who sexually abused children, and the children and their families as they deal with their current lives.

It's an unbelievably sad film. The filmakers equally interview the actual Catholic priest and the children and their families about what happened. It follows how the abuse started and the cover-up by members of the church who knew about what was going on, but never reported anything to police, but just moved the priest somewhere else where the abuse started again.

This happened for about twenty years, before the truth came out. It's so shocking and sad how this came about, and puts up a lot of questions about why this happened. While the movie is a lot to take, the filmakers demonstrate a lot of care and respect for the subject while still asking the really tough questions and trying to find the answers.

Under it all, there is a lot of hope and strength in the film as well. Joseph Arthur does an incredible version of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." A very highly recommended documentary.
