Review of Deliver Us from Evil (1973) by Sean R — 22 Sep 2012
A brilliantly made but sickening documentary about the hundreds of thousands, possibly millions of victims of sexual abuse by priests worldwide.
The scenes of the father describing how he trusted a priest so implicitly that he invited him into his house only to discover years later that he was raping his daughter from the age of 5-11, are too heartbreaking to watch.
It proves this is not a case of a few sick individuals being to blame but the whole hierarchy of the Catholic church, including the current pope, for their continued part in the cover-up. Words cannot describe the hatred I have for these 'people'.
