Review of Delicatessen (1991) by Walter C — 06 Oct 2010
I can watch this film again and again. It's full of amazingly funny moments (like the couple trying to figure out which bed spring is creaking) and macabre atmosphere. A great movie that manages to be disgusting and heartwarming throughout.
Dominique Pinon is one of the most entertaining performances in cinema today and is probably greatly undervalued in the UK and US (although I can't say how much respect he has in France). A brilliant and somehow beautiful movie.
