Review of Delicatessen (1991) by Jacob A — 23 Jul 2011
I am not a big fan of dark humor but this sepia color movie is worth watching. It is set in a building where people have no meat to eat, and every new janitor (Louison) is going to be executed by the butcher and owner of the building in order to feed himself and the tenants.
So, every tenant is also a collaborator in the butcher's murder-plan. But the butcher's daughter (Julie) falls in love with Louison, a very clever clown. Julie will try everything to save his life, and their love is going to change the building forever.
