Review of Delicatessen (1991) by Scott R — 24 Feb 2018
This is my third submission of this review. Stop deleting it Flixster!
A futuristic dark humored film where an apartment building lives off of humans that they conspire to butcher. One of their recruits, a former circus worker, manages to appeal to them and his love helps prevent his certain death. This reminded me of Terry Gilliam and how it had an odd plot, characters, sets, color and feel. It did it all with a French twist. It was witty, but at times some of the wit was too quick for its own good. I shall have to watch it again.
It was unforgettable and entertaining. Thank you Derek for the recommendation.
1001 movies to see before you die.
