What a refreshingly irreverent movie!! It scores brilliantly on many levels and is a refreshing change from the plagarised stuff that we've been seeing of late.
Director Deo and writer Verma come up with a great script that has a few sub plots, all interlinking with the main scatological theme of the movie, which is in itself very funny, despite some really urrrghh moments!!!
Of the cast, Kunaal Roy Kapur (as the hapless Delhi Belly stricken friend) and Vir Das really do well. Imran Khan, once again, proves that he has precious little going for him other than his maternal uncle. Poorna Jagannathan impresses.
The movie is set in Delhi, but the entire feel is a Bombay one, including the lingo and the setting of the house of the 3 friends etc. Not quite sure where the original script wanted the movie to be based. That said, the rest of the movie works really very well and will keep you interested till the very end, though the "item song" with Aamir Khan isn't all that.
I would suggest that you make your way to the nearest movie screen and watch this one, that will be one of the best and wisest decisions you'll have made in the recent past!!!!!
