Delhi Belly, well I've seen the trailer and heard the buzz. Well what can you say? Well firstly I'm not from India. I was born in the west and brought up on Hollywood movies. And after a while I grew tired of them and started to watch more indie and foreign movies. Delhi Belly puts my faith back into India cinema.

Delhi Belly was a pleasant surprise, you knew from the first few minutes it wasn't your typical Indian movie. Firstly the actress says "What a fucking mental!." If you don't like swearing you say, "Darn it" instead. Or don't like sexual references then this movie is not for you. You wont enjoy it.

It's like saying for me to go see a 3D movie with a mediocre story. So if I went to see Transformers. I would mostly likely be disappointed and just complain. This is a movie for the youth or people who don't mind seeing vulgarity on screen and using wit, irony, making fun of pop culture, and all done with a twist. The story plot is similar to western movies but in essence is an Indian movie. It's not full of melodrama. But rather it's a satire at times. It reminds me of the first Hangover movie. It was fresh and unpredictable but if you paid attention maybe not.

I don't want to give it all away, because you need to see it. But it revolves around a package being delivered, gangster, Delhi Belly, car chases, humor, hart brake and much more. This movie is an amazing effort by Aamir Khan Productions and I think a very important one. If you can produce a movie that pop culture watches you might get them to experience something different, rather then give them the same stuff.

These days' movies seem to be based on comics, are sequels, and remake's of older movies. This is a refreshing interjection into cinema. A much-needed one, think it's been in a rut. Delhi Belly shows that Bollywood doesn't just do a song a dance. But on the other hand the ending was great, there was a song a dance, and you see the importance of it. It let's you escape life and shows some glamour.

Though this was done in a satire fashion. You were taken away. This movie shows India cinema can take another direction. Go see it! It's as refreshing as the first hang over movie.
