Review of Delhi Belly (2011) by Sophia Q — 28 Sep 2011
A movie that takes place in the underbelly of Delhi....entirely in English? From the on-set, I was not impressed. HOWEVER, somehow, it manages to work. This movie had everything an entertainer needs: good music, good storyline, good acting (read: natural acting).
A bag of diamonds is accidentally misplaced and what follows is chaos. That's the basic premise for the story. Imran Khan was a natural and as cute as usual. Kunaal Roy Kapur was amusing to watch, while the scene-stealer was Vir Das, who was absolutely hilarious (and I'll never forget "Jaa Chudail"!).
Shehnaz and Poorna were good, but not outstanding. The humor is absolute toilet humor. In my opinion, it's not a family film, but it's a great movie to watch with an 18+ group!
