Review of Déjà Vu (2006) by Peter N — 22 Jul 2013
Déjà Vu is an ambitious attempt at a sci-fi thriller and it isn't half bad. The concept of the film is innovative and Denzel Washington gives a great performance - he takes detective work to a whole new level! However the film places obvious hints to the ending, making it incredibly predictable.
Despite this, the climactic action sequences are well shot and incredibly tense which act as some sort of payoff. The implausible aspect of the film is the "Snow White" program; an intelligent mind raises questions but they are never answered.
Ironically, this over-complicated film makes you dumb yourself down in order to understand what's going on.
