Review of Déjà Vu (2006) by Bob V — 06 Mar 2010
The thin line between a good movie and a bad one.
Deja-Vu could have been a great movie thanks to the good idea behind it, but it's completely wasted because of the poor script and the major quantity of stereotypes in it.
The badass cop with the sixth sense in investigation, the nice black girl falling in love for him after just being together for 1 hour, the nerd team who's always condescendent to him, even when he's making the dork breaking monitors because he's the guy AND HE MUST KNOW!
I would have really appreciated more courage by the authors of this movie, but at the end they just choose the safe path: a movie for everyone, which you can just enjoy with your brain turned off.
