Review of Definitely, Maybe (2008) by Mac V — 03 Nov 2009
Actually quite good - very strong female cast - how can you not love Abigail Breslin? and a neopolitan trio of lasses who due to some really non-genre writing come across as likeable and real despite the Hollywood looks.
the secret of selling chick flicks to men is clearly make them feel like theyd have a chance with Isla Fisher if only they spent more time in bookshops and listened to Nirvana. sub west-wing politics side plot is a bit of a nonevent, but can be forgiven as the films voice is clearly in relationships and families.
finally, a bonus star is awarded for having 3 of the best songs from the 90's on the soundtrack - Arrested Developmet, Belle and Sebastian, Finlay Quaye. tunes.
