I found abigail breslin adorable in little miss sunshine, and she's still adorable in this movie as the ever curious, talkative daughter of ryan reynolds. my daughter's nickname is also maya and I saw similarities in their endless questioning and chatter..

Digressing aside, it's not your typical chick flick...i liked how the story revolved around the father-daughter storytelling game. this would have been another ho-hum chick flick if it was done otherwise. oddly enough, ryan reynolds' role as the dad fit him although before this movie, I never really thought of him as a paternal type of character...i liked isla fisher here than in that movie "confessions of a shopaholic"..

All in all, it's not your regular syrupy-sweet-makes-you-want-to-gag-chick-flick...
