Review of Defendor (2009) by Ahmed " — 21 Apr 2010
A powerful dark comedy and a nice new take on the superhero genre; consider it a more serious Kick Ass. The story is around a mentally delayed man who considers himself a superhero and fights crime at night but as you know it is not an easy task.
His reasons for doing his and his choice of the imaginary villain he fights is the most powerful dramatic element in the film. The movie somehow falls flat in the middle but the great ending sequences and the shocking finale` covered that up.
Harrelson delivers a very believable performance that will make really sympathize with his character and its motives.
