Review of Defendor (2009) by Allister W — 17 Apr 2010
Woody Harrelson makes a somewhat bumbling and stoic effort as a superhero who doesn't have any powers none whatsoever but he makes the best out of what he has...his heart and determination (I mean come on what kind of person would have a jar of wasps, a bat, marbles to use as his arsenal of crime-fighting weapons??).
Enduring sheer ridicule...yes but lacking heart and determination to keep going forth...no.
U had to like him even if he took a few beatings along the way...Kat Dennings, Elias Koteas, Michael Kelly and Sandra Oh were a supporting cast that stood out more than likely so u can't be too disappointed at a comedy that was morally entertaining but compared itself to a lame impersonation of "Forrest Gump" meets "Mystery Men" (a movie so crappy I hated Ben Stiller for a while).
In general "Defendor" does well in some areas u had to laugh at...a decent, enjoyable movie:).
