Review of Defendor (2009) by Ali A — 15 Nov 2010
If you've ever seen Robert Downey, Jr. in Tropic Thunder, then you know that sometimes you can go too "retard" in a role. Although I did feel for the title character's motive for wanting to be a superhero, I didn't quite respond to the performance.
I felt pity instead of finding it comical, and sadly that affected the whole movie because the performance had to be the anchor of the whole production. It just didn't quite work for me.
