Review of Defendor (2009) by Austin J — 27 May 2011
Woody Harrelson plays a demented man with a tiny I.Q. that tries his best to be a real life superhero to avenge the death of this mother. The movie is a very realistic take on the events that unfold as Defendor tries to stop "Capitan Industry" and his 'goons' from selling drugs and prostitutes.
The film is very deep and has you emotionally invested in the character of Defendor as he constantly struggles with his limited wit and steadfast determination. It's the perfect combination of visceral and dark.
