Review of Defending Your Life (1991) by Gordon C — 16 Feb 2009
Brooks comes up with a real gem--it's not often a film finds multiple ways to resonate with yourself. First, a humorous, clever way to imagine life after death, and two, this develops into a pretty decent love story with a misty eyed ending to boot! The leads are engaging, but Rip Torn's turn as Brooks' defense attorney is refreshing and original.
