Review of Defending Your Life (1991) by David N — 19 Nov 2010

Some very clever ideas about a hypothetical afterlife are briefly explored and then ignored in favour of a touching but less interesting love story in the beyond. Brooks wit is quick, his satire is at times biting, but the film fails to answer too many questions about its afterlife and fails to distract you from asking them.

Fun stuff, but there's a far better film deserving of this idea.
