Review of Deepwater Horizon (2016) by Manuel L — 11 Oct 2016
SOME SPOILERS.
Like any other other Peter Berg film other than Hancock, he has the audacity to make good movies like Lone Survivor and bad movies like Battleship. That's just what he does; however unlike Lone Survivor, I really liked Deepwater Horizon, even though it took almost half an hour for the accident to occur, the elements of foreshadow are there, and there are plenty of them, the tube in the Coca Cola that bursts spilling the drink, the bird that hits the helicopter, even though this is a dramatization to the actual event, it's obvious some things are right and others are wrong. Yet, the score for the film was incredible, it made me feel scared for a bit, and sad as well as the outstanding performance of Mark Wahlberg. It's not an amazing movie but its great.
