Review of Deepwater Horizon (2016) by Nick U — 07 Feb 2017
2/7/17 Netflix DVD.
Tense, fast moving and thrilling. Living in Houston we saw and read a lot about Deepwater Horizon and this movie captures it accurately. Liked seeing the actual people involved at the end of the film.
Only complaint is that much of it was a little to "inside baseball" in terms of understanding the technical explanations of what went wrong early in the process and then as the disaster continued to unfold. Almost had to have worked on a rig to follow it but that is a small issue given the terrific story that was told.
