Review of DeepStar Six (1989) by Ryan V — 08 Oct 2011
I'm a sucker for the late 80s Alien underwater sub-genre. This one isn't particularly distinguishable or great, but brings what is expected: people botching at each other, lots of tense flooding scenes, cheesy dialogue, and a decent level of gore.
Particular kudos go to Miguel Ferrer as the loony screwup of our underwater crew. As a kid, I had a recurring nightmare about the way his character meets his demise. All in all, an enjoyable way to spend a cheap hour and a half or so.
