Review of Deep Impact (1998) by Alfie N — 14 Jun 2014

I can't believe the amount of criticism this film garners, especially when you consider that pile of tripe 'Armageddon' that was released the same year. I honestly think that this movie gives a quiet sense of realism should this scenario ever take place.

Of course, it has its lunacy - c'mon, look at the films subject matter, but there are some genuinely touching moments here. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and at no point did I find myself bored or annoyed at some massive inconsistency that I couldn't easily ignore.
