Review of Deep Blue Sea (1999) by Rodney E — 30 Apr 2010
It's hard to make a shark movie without comparison to Jaws. Aside from a couple of decent movies, Renny Harlin is a pretty bad director and Deep Blue Sea is a pretty bad movie. The effects and story are pretty lame and instead of feeling any suspense, I was feeling bored instead.
There is one shot I do like and it is totally ludicrous..the one with Stellan Skarsgard being pushed towards the glass by the shark. Is it just me or did they just take LL Cool J from the crappy H20 set and told him to play the same character and gave him a bird?
