Review of Deep Blue Sea (1999) by Alec B — 31 Mar 2015
Deep Blue Sea is exactly the type of movie you want to hate. I remember seeing this movie when I was little, and being very entertained, but having just re watched it, it's not surprising I'm not as enthusiastic about it as I was when I was younger.
That being said, it's still an amusing movie. The acting is medicre, the writing generic, characters at times are just stupid, and the science behind the film is ehh, but like I said, it's still amusing.
The movie is short, and doesn't waste any time getting to the shark action, so it definitely delivers what you came to see, and that is see giant mutant shark ripp people to pieces. It's a movie that I recommend watching if you've got nothing to do, or if you're like me and constantly binge watch really long complex movies, and are looking to watch a film that gives you a breather from all the thinking, then this is a good movie.
