Review of Deconstructing Harry (1997) by Anthony H — 22 Jul 2009
I may have finally reached a level of maturity in which I can actually appreciate Woody Allen. I never did before. Yet with this film, it seems to be a good primer for his work. It contains the same preposterous notion that women this attractive can be drawn to a man like Woody Allen (but when you write the movie, you make the rules) and the same sort of neurosis one would expect from Allen's protagonists. Just for the first time (outside of maybe Antz) have I actually laughed at anything Woody Allen has done.
Yeah, this isn't one of my best reviews.
