Follows an immature, unfaithful, self destructive man who can stay true only to his writing, his island of purity. Who plays the lead?
Writer's block, his current woman of the now getting married, and a college that expelled him handing him an honorary degree trigger a reassessment of himself.
Big cast and short story sketches send us down various alleyways of allegories. There are some resonant and deeply thought world view perspectives filtered into pithy lines and some zingers that delight.
However it is a crapshoot when you spin many stories on a large canvass. Taking a look at the whole from a dispassionate distance the composition doesn't quite hold together.
