Review of Deconstructing Harry (1997) by Jebus C — 23 Oct 2010
The last truly great Woody Allen movie. Its just starting to verge on garbage and the inclusion of a terrific cast helps paper over problems with the script, which isn't one of his best. It is heartfelt and personal though and the use of editing techniques makes it feel unique.
It also manages to balance reality and fantasy as well as could be expected. 4 years later Allen would be shooting the Curse of the Jade Scorpion and there's no way back from that.
