Review of Deconstructing Harry (1997) by Kevin H — 04 Apr 2011
Familiar Woody Allen fare, but now with swearing and jump cuts to expose an unprecedented savage existential despair and self-critique. It is disturbing, thought-provoking, uncomfortable, yet still, like the best of his work, still perversely beautiful and hilarious in spite of itself.
Definitely one of the Allens most worth seeing.
