Audiences who are usually not interested in love affairs may enjoy "Decision to Leave" because half of the movie's focus is on solving the mystery behind an unexpected death. "Decision to Leave" slowly becomes more engaging as the investigations and relationships develop.
The movie demands its audience to pay close attention to every detail and to critically think about each character's behavior. There are plenty of hidden players and hidden motives to discover without explicit storytelling. That's why some people might believe the second viewing of this movie is the most enjoyable.
