Review of Deception (2008) by Zane T — 15 Apr 2009
What an interesting title? I was expecting some spicy erotic thriller. Instead there is a montage of a few minutes of R-rated sex and the rest of the movie is an Aussie and a Scot's man trying to do middle America accents.
Ewan McGregor plays an auditor who befriends what he thinks is a lawyer, Hugh Jackman. They smoke some pot and he stills his identity. Let this be a warning to all you kids out there. If you smoke pot, some guy who looks absolutely nothing like you will steal you're identity, black mail you into stealing millions of corporate funds, blow up your condo and trick you into thinking some blonde with too much make-up was actually kidnapped when she was in all the same time.
Oh, I'm sorry, I gave the whole plot away. Deception reminds me of one of those movies they used to show on Skinemax back in the early 90's.
