Review of Deception (2008) by Murat K — 22 Jun 2009
"Deception" is a decent thriller wandering in the traces of "Derailed" and the like. It has a very good cast (Hugh Jackman vs. Ewan McGregor is DEFINITELY worth watching!) that makes the best out of unfortunately mostly underwritten parts. Also the short appearances of Charlotte Rampling, Natasha Henstridge and Maggie Q do enhance the movie. However, it could have been better if the writers had given the characters more background and depth.
The plot starts slow...and it does take quite a while until it gets interesting and it certainly isn't new either, yet it makes "Deception" an entertaining movie...
