Review of Deception (2008) by Nicky B — 10 Oct 2009
A miscast McGregor and Jackman lumber ponderously to the predictable finale of this mediocre thriller with nary a cliche exploited throughout its interminable length. And, as far as plot twists go, this film provides its own spoilers long before you reach them.
Deception's tasty cinematography and unfussy editing go some way to excuse this sub-retro tosh but there's little else to recommend it.
