Review of December Boys (2007) by Hashim Ali C — 08 Jul 2008
I don't know why...but I somehow loved this movie. I thought I'll only like it but when I finished watching it I released it had become one of my favorite movies of all time.
"December boys" tells the story of four orphaned boys living in Australia who are sent on a holiday. It is a beautiful coming of age story with fantastic cinematography.
From the actors I thought everyone did a good job, apart from...sadly, Daniel Radcliffe, who was too 'wooden" and I felt portrayed Maps in the same way he portrays Harry Potter. His accent wasn't very Australian either. He would have ended up destroying the movie but his scenes after Lucy leaves are just brilliant.
I can see why this movie didn't become as big as it could have but for me it was just an amazing and emotional movie!
