Review of December Boys (2007) by Ali S — 24 Jul 2009

I'm torn about this movie. Overall, it tells a fairly interesting and heartwarming tale. But there are bits of it that totally lost my interest. Bad editing perhaps? It has its good points. These kids certainly can act (Who knew that Harry Potter could actually act?) and I found myself shedding a few tears at the end.

But it's got its bad point too. The cinematography seems really off. It was so dark that it was often hard to see and the volume of the speaking was so low that it was often hard to hear. So, it's a good film that could have been easily much better.
