Review of December Boys (2007) by Daniel T — 03 Jul 2009
There's nothing redemptive about this film. The characters are unrealistically flat and sometimes just plain strange. There is no emotion in the film whatsoever. Daniel Radcliffe seems to be there just to help this small film make money, and nobody else in the film can act.
The film moves along at an agonizingly slow pace and stays that way for almost two hours. There's also some weird bits with this one boy seeing visions of nuns that do cartwheels. Skip this one hour.
If you do end up watching it, you'll regret it. If you took a time machine and went back so that you didn't watch this puke-fest, you still wouldn't be able to mend the mistake of watching it.
