This film is pretty brutal in its rape/murder scenes. In fact, if there was one big problem with this film is that it spends too much time on the rape scenes. It goes beyond intense and uncomfortable to tiresome and weird.
.. Lucky for us, they're basically done when Kersey's wife and housekeeper wind up dead. Then the movie gets back to the badassery.
