Review of Death Wish II (1982) by Charlie G — 30 Dec 2012

Bronson is pretty believable as a grim avenger, but the story is just dumb and hollow. Acting is ok, and the atmosphere works all right, but really, the movie is just about vigilante "justice".

I have seen this once earlier on television, and watched this a while ago again. Its just not that great.. but I've seen worse films. Theres enough action, but when the sole purpose is to get pleasure out of killing other people it is not very recommendable.

Besides, the film is made so that one gets the impression that theres gonna be something else there, and when the end credits start rolling, one suddenly realizes that there wasnt, expectations for a "fine crime thriller" go down the drain pretty quickly.
