Death Wish is a cathartic well paced often tense film that addresses the hopelessness and frustration the every man feels in a day and age where everyone in the media and power tries to make him feel helpless. Until a man decides to buck up and become self reliant to take on the very real monsters in our society and defend his castle and family.
Being faithful to the original without being a beat for beat remake the only reason you wont like this movie (as the critic scores show) is if you have a political bias and cant stand the idea that there 1 movie out of 100 that decides to give different message without a sense of irony or lecturing.
