Fan of the original? Don't waste your time. The elderly Bruce Willis gives a rather boring performance, Eli Roth fails to deliver a good rendition of this 70's classic. This film focuses more on pushing todays current political landscape and less on being a great film.
Being from Chicago I was disappointed that they made the city look trendy for all the wrong reasons, like its cool to glorify our problems. similar to the likes of spike lee, and the whole music industry had done.
(The chief keef music didn't help) I knew this movie was going to suck when dudes brother said "kick his butt". I felt that this film needed more action scenes to make it less dull.. I mean I like the whole Doctor bit, but found it entirely to simple how all the pieces to the puzzle fell right on the Doc's lap right there on the operating table.
. I wish the detectives would have served more as the stories antagonist rather than accomplice. All in all this movie is uninspired, boring, simplistic plot, with a weak character arc. Bring Back Bronson!! #MakeMoviesGreatAgain.
